The Future of Policing Event

The Future of Policing

Register for the event now

Join Microsoft, VMware and UBDS as we host a thought leadership and practical session on the Future of Policing in the Cloud Era, and demonstrate the potential of the Microsoft Power Platform in this one-day Hackathon!

Police officials carry a huge amount of responsibility, and with a core duty of protecting communities, they do not need to be bogged down by inefficiencies in the workplace. With an increase of public pressure and the reality of budget cuts and limited resources, police forces are looking to technology to transform their ways of working, and to deliver more, for less.

In this session we will explore how policing can be done in a digital world and how to introduce digital solutions effectively. We will demonstrate how to take away the routine data processing from the people, and leave officers to focus on preventing crime, making intelligent decisions faster, collaborating with their colleagues, and serving the community effectively.

Agenda

  • Effective agile policing in a cloud era – enabling multi-agency collaboration across applications and physical boundaries
  • Deep dive into police force challenges and the building of prototypes to tackle these challenges (for example: automation of case and record management, automating victim updates, and accessing real-time information)
  • Demonstration of how the Microsoft Power Platform can deliver innovation, productivity, and efficiency – at pace
  • Discussions and networking with peers, Microsoft, VMware and the UBDS team
